Fall Extravaganza   10:30 a.m. to noon (Hallowing Point Park, 4755 Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick) Join the Calvert Parks & Rec for a Fall Extravaganza.  Bring a picnic lunch and join us for hayrides, making scarecrows, a petting zoo, face painting and entertainment. To make a scarecrow, bring old pantyhose, one-piece pajamas or pants and a long-sleeved shirt.

Halloween Extravaganza 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Southern Community Center, 20 Appeal Lane, Lusby) Come dressed in your scariest, cutest, funniest or most original costume for our costume judging contest. Check-in 11:00-11:30 a.m., all ages, infant-adult. Prizes for the winners in each category. There will also be a craft area for pumpkin painting and decorating, however, you must bring your own pumpkin! A moon bounce and games will be available for the kids to enjoy as well. Eric Energy will perform his Halloween Spark Attack at 12:30 p.m. All ages.

Harvest Party & Trunk or Treat    3:00 – 5:00 pm (Full Gospel Assembly of God @ 870 Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick) Join us for an afternoon of fun for the kids and entire family! This is a free event for everyone. Food, games, moon-bounce, bake sale, trunk or treat, hayrides, crafts and door prizes. The little ones are encouraged to dress up and the big ones too! Grab a friend and come on out.

Trunk or Treat & Community Info Night  5:00 – 8:00 pm (Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Office Facility,  1650 Calvert Cliffs Parkway, Lusby) Plant employees will explain plant operations in the control room simulator, highlight safe maintenance practices through hands-on demonstrations, highlight environmental stewardship with the help of the Department of Natural Resources Scales and Tails program, discuss radiological safety, emergency preparedness and much more! Don’t forget to join us in the office facility parking lot for Trunk-or-Treat and listen to a live broadcast with Heather from Star 98.3 and enjoy Hardesty Haven Catering throughout the event! We are asking for donations of non-perishable food items for End Hunger Calvert County or a cash donation to United Way of Calvert County. Registration for the event is required for admittance!

Trunk or Treat & Haunted Showroom  5:00 – 8:00 pm (Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep, 265 Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick) Join us on Friday, October 25 from 5-8 PM to Trunk or Treat! Visit our Haunted Showroom and grab an autograph from Tom Morga (Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers) from 6-8PM.  Bring the kids for safe trick-or-treating and a costume contest! Above Average Graphing will be hosting a silent auction and T-Bone and Intern John from Star 98.3 FM will be broadcasting live from our event!

Costume & Candy Crawl    10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (The Shoppes at Apple Greene, MD Rt 4 & Ward Road, Dunkirk) The Shoppes at Apple Greene’s Halloween Costume & Candy Crawl is back!Dress in your Halloween best and Trick-or-Treat at The Shoppes at Apple Greene! We’ll have a costume contest, face painters, and balloon artists. We will also provide trick-or-treat bags to take along the route by Five Guys, or you may bring your own.  This is a FREE event. Open to kids 12 and under, with adult supervision. We are excited to see you there!

Annual Halloween in the Garden  10:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Annmarie Garden, 13470 Dowell Road) NEW EVENT LAYOUT!  Booths will be spread out around the Parking Circle and down the Wooded Path allowing guests to roam at their own pace – free range trick-or-treating!  PLUS, we’ve got Halloween-inspired music and dancing with our guest DJ!   More than 70 community organizations and businesses will decorate booths, don costumes, and hand out candy and treats to all the children. Some free activities will be provided and devilishly delicious food vendors will be present. Admission of $2.00 per person will benefit local charities including the Holiday Food Basket Program and the Annmarie Scholarship Fund. Parking is free and will be located in the field adjacent to the garden—follow signs. Dress the whole family and enjoy a day of trick-or-treating, art activities, lunch and more. Don’t forget to bring your camera— there are always unique photo opportunities with the boo-tiful decorations!  FREE trick or treat bags handed out to every guest!  Smoke-free for the kids!

Trunk or Treat   2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Middleham and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 10210 HG Trueman RD Lusby) All are invited to this festive and fun event for kids and adults alike. Take a Selfie with your kids in front of “Haunted House” Photo Back Drop. Outdoor activities for kids. Look for the teal pumpkins, which are available for kids with food allergies. Wear your costumes and visit decorated vehicles of parishioners in the Parish Hall parking lot. If you are interested in hosting a trunk, decorating it and providing candy for Trunk-or-Treaters, email Karen for information  Also you can call the office for more information, 410-326-4948. All participants need to setup between 1:00 and 1:30 PM to decorate your car. This is a safety issue, in case children show up early, so cars aren’t driving through.

10th Annual Boo Bash  3:00 The North Beach Business Loop and the Town of North Beach present the Annual Halloween Boo Bash on the Boardwalk! Children of all ages parade through and are judged on their Halloween costumes. After prizes are awarded, we invite you to parade through town to Trick or Treat at the local businesses.  Please arrive by 2:15 to register.

Family Fall (for Jesus) Festival   4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Union Church, 8912 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach) Fun & games for everyone including Costume Contest, DJ/Dance Floor, games, and Treats! The Church is located next to the North Beach Town Hall at 8912 Chesapeake Avenue. This free event is offered with the compliments of the Congregation.

Children’s Halloween Costume Parade & Party  1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (Main Building of the Calvert County Fairgrounds, 140 Calvert Fair Drive, Prince Frederick) The Optimist Club of Calvert (Prince Frederick) is hosting their annual Halloween Party and Parade for children ages 1-13. Join us for an afternoon of fun and games, crafts, treats and a special Halloween Parade! Goody bags and medals plus trophies awarded for first, second and third place costume winners in five age categories. The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m.; please register onsite by 1:45 p.m. to participate in the costume parade.

Children’s Halloween Party  1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206, 3330 Cheseapeake Beach Road, Ches. Beach) American Legion Post 206 is holding their annual free children’s costume Halloween party in the upper level hall.  All are welcome.  For information call 410-257-9878.  .

Halloween Spooktaclar Extravaganza  12:00 – 3:00 pm (Hallowing Point Park , 4755 Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick) Join us at Hallowing Point Park for a great afternoon of fall fun and excitement. The day starts off at noon with a Pet Costume Fun Walk around the park. Dress your pet up for the occasion and we’ll award prizes for the Spookiest, Funniest, and Most Original costumes. From 1pm to 3pm, we’ll have games, face painting, and inflatables for the whole family to enjoy. We’ll also have a hay ride for the family to go visit our “Pumpkin Patch.” The entire event is FREE. Trunk or Treat  2:00 – 3:00 pm (Our Lady Star of the Sea School  90 Alexander Lane, Solomons) Join the Our Lady Star of the Sea School Home and School Association in this FREE family event to trunk or treat.

Ruddy Duck’s 9th Annual Kid’s Halloween Party  2:00 4:00 pm (Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill   13200 Dowell Road, Dowell) Kids will receive one free craft to take to their dining table to complete. We have crafts for all ages. Costume Contest at 3pm.  All kids and costumes are welcome!   Everyone gets a goodie to take home (candy or candy-free, your choice Mom!!)

Halloween Family Fun Night   2:00 – 4:00 pm (Northeast Community Center, 4075 Gordon Stinnett Ave., Chesapeake Beach) An event for the whole family featuring popcorn, face painting, a photo booth, inflatables, pumpkin patch and a trick or treat trail sponsored by many local businesses. Be sure to wear your favorite costume and enjoy all of the free fun!   

Trinity’s Annual Fall Fest  3:00 – 5:00 pm (Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Church Street, Prince Frederick) Untamed Family Fun! Join Trinity families as they celebrate on the front lawn featuring: the Blessing of the Pets, Zoofari -Where God is Wild About You (follow-up to VBS Roar), Corn Hole Tournament, Touch Football, Cake Walk, Bon Fire and, of course, our annual Trunk or Treat.  Please bring your lawn chairs or blanket. This event is open to the whole community.  BLESSING OF THE PETS – Celebrate the pets that make our lives special. If you can’t bring your pet, feel free to bring a picture of your pet or a stuffed animal to be blessed.

GREAT PUMPKIN RUN  10:30 – 11:00 a.m. (Southern Community Center, 20 Appeal Lane, Lusby) Dress in costume for some exercise, a short run and fun in the outdoors! Prizes will be awarded for the run. Don’t forget to wear your costume! Pre-registration is a must!  (410-586-1101)  Ages 2.5-5

Trunk or Treat, 6:00 – 8:30 pm (Southern Calvert Baptist Church, 12140 H.G. Trueman Road, Lusby) FREE Event! How it works: Bring your kids in a non-scary costume (please, no blood, guts, gore, violent, scary or evil costumes). Register when you get here to receive a bag to collect treats and enroll in our prize drawings. Take your child from trunk to trunk, check out the cool decorations, get some goodies, and play a few games. We will have hot dogs, chili, popcorn, hot chocolate, apple cider, music, & much more! Click on “Find Tickets” to pre-register (FREE).   *PARENTS: Please make sure that you include yourselves in the preregistration. This helps us track numbers for the evening.

Trunk or Treat  6:00 pm (Huntingtown VFD  4030 Old Town Road, Huntingtown) Join the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department at their first Trunk or Treat featuring candy, games, a hay ride and pumpkin painting.
